XY Mens' ManifestoI want to rebrand the gentleman! I want men to be chivalrous again! The XY man is defined masculinity not machismo. The XY man is chivalrous. The XY man is responsible. The XY man is techno-chic. The XY man is The Contemporary Gentleman. Machismo has become a banality. All you have to do is turn on the radio and listen to the lyrics in the chart hits and you’ll know what I mean! I can also prove my point if you just look at the new U.S president, or if you look into the reasons why people voted Brexit. I do not want to live in a world where chivalry no longer exists. I want to live in a world where we do ‘handshakes’ instead of ‘booty shakes’! I want to belong to a world where you can grab life by the balls and not for life to grab you by the pussy! I want people to be kind to one another, to respect and be polite to each other no matter what gender, race, religion or sexual orientation they may be. The role of a man has changed. It used to be so dull. When he came home his dinner was already cooked for him. The Re-con man of the twenty-first century knows how to cook, he knows how to dress, and he knows how to love. He is a gentleman who can multitask. And multitasking is sexy! I want men to be responsible again! The planet is under threat from climate change and we can do something about it. We can produce sustainable clothes that last and are recyclable. Fast fashion has produced poor quality, throw-away clothes, most of which end up in landfills. Clothes should be made to last long enough to have a story to tell. To be part of life's adventure. Fashion needs to be sustainable, not made for landfill. The XY man is Techno-chic and creates his identity through wardrobe building. Techno-Chic clothing is a fantastic new fashion revolution where clothes are reused and remanufactured. Dressing to look great in clothes that last, with garments that can be built on over time. Dressing to create a durable and uniquely personal look. The XY man is already a wardrobe-builder, less influenced by fast fashion he choses clothes that last longer. Clothes that come to define him and identify him consistently over time like a personalised uniform. Clothes that tell his story. The XY man is not just identified by his XY chromosome. He is defined by the way he acts and how he choses to dress. He is chivalrous, responsible and Techno-chic. The XY man is defined by Masculinity not machismo.
